Battlefield

Through the darkened sky
I find myself lost in thought
The dim moonlight
Entwine my eternal mind
As I fought for love
A win less battle
Bloodshed and tears
Drown the battlefield
Walked the path so many have walked before me
Only to meet the same fate
As my brothers that have fallen before me
Fallen swords and armor lay like landmines
Traps that cannot be avoided
I seem to fall into these traps
Time and time again
Oh how I wish it could return
To the way it once was
But it will be nothing nevermore
